To celebrate Women's History Month in the US, streamers have been challenged to name 100 women, and it wasn't as easy as it sounds.

Streamers often take on challenges in Super Mario and Pokmon, like that time it took a YouTuber 1,786 attempts to beat the hardest challenge in Pokmon FireRed.

Now though, in recognition of Women's History Month in the US, Twitch streamer QTCinderella has challenged her male Twitch colleagues to name 100 women.

The challenge consists of completing the list with a timer to see how well they did, and streamers welcomed the challenge, though it sparked some inadvertently funny moments.

QTCinderella, who organises the annual Twitch-focused The Streamer Awards, added some rules to the challenge too, such as streamers can't get help from their viewers, the women have to be searchable on Google, and no fictional characters.

Some streamers who participated struggled, like Blau, who gave up after 24 minutes and 78 names. But most finished the challenge with Squeex doing it in 20 minutes, finding inspiration from politicians to Bollywood actors.

SlimeIRL crossed the goal line at 26 minutes but got a few laughs when he forgot the name of Carrie Fisher, who played Princess Leia in Star Wars, before then immediately putting down Oprah, later saying: 'You guys don't understand how hard it is.[…] It's really, really, really hard.'

The best attempt so far, however, came from variety streamer Northernlion, who rushed through the list in just under seven minutes, covering lots of categories from actors, to singers, and politicians, to the British royal family.

It's easy to see why the challenge took off, as it's a fun brain-teaser, and the streamers get to compete against each other.

QTCinderella tagged some of the biggest streamers on Twitch in her tweet, and even the platform's CEO, Dan Clancy, so it will be fun to see who's brave enough to take on the challenge going forward.

You can read the full rule set in the tweet below, and try to beat Northernlion's seven minutes.
