Ronan Keating has said Louis Walsh is 'showing his true colours', but fought the urge to air anymore dirty laundry.

The Celebrity Big Brother star, 71, ended his time on the reality programme in fourth place on Friday, with David Potts crowned winner.

He was up against the likes of This Morning legend Fern Britton and Strictly's Nikita Kuzmin, and had been predicted to finish as runner-up.

But it wasn't meant to be, and after weeks of disgusting viewers with his bad habits, clashing with his housemates, and reigniting plenty of feuds, it was finally Louis' time to go.

Hours earlier, he had been warned to be kind from old pal Sinitta, who came to deliver some 'home truths' to the former X Factor judge.

Her comments came after Louis blasted Jedward, called Ronan a 'p***k', and brought up Cheryl's infamous toilet assault.

And now Ronan has hit back, saying: 'I've never been one to air my dirty laundry in public, especially when it comes to Louis and myself.

'He does a very good job of that and I think he's showing his true colours in there and I'll leave him be, I'll let him do that.'

He also appeared shocked at hearing that Louis was even on Celebrity Big Brother, saying he can stay in the house 'as long as he would like to'.

'He's doing a great job I hear,' he quipped.

Recalling his first Boyzone audition during an interview on The Late Late Show, Ronan added: 'The next day I went to work and I was working in a shoe shop in Dublin and I thought I was God's gift, after that first one I thought we could do no wrong.

'Little did we know in the weeks that followed after that the video would appear in more and more places, and people were laughing at us actually rather than applauding us.'

Louis created boy band Boyzone in 1993, of which Ronan was one of the five members.

However, he took aim at the performer during a discussion on Celebrity Big Brother with Sharon Osbourne, where he called him a 'p***k' and challenged claims he was a 'lovely guy'.

'He hasn't had a hit record since I left. He sacked me,' he added.

Since then, an old recording where Ronan slammed Louis has emerged, in which he rants: 'He hurt me, he really hurt me and he knows it.

'I don't have any time for the guy. We're a million miles from each other,' he said, as reported by The Sun.

'I've no respect for Louis because he has none for me. He was very jealous of me.'

He continued: 'I had to sack him because he wouldn't manage me.

'He's a very selfish character. It's bullsh** man. He's a bullsh***er.'

Meanwhile, Louis doubled down and insisted he wasn't going to 'hold back' over any comments he made, telling Celebrity Big Brother hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best on Late and Live: 'The public are not stupid, they know if something's b******t.'

And while he may not be giving out any apologies, Louis did give Jedward a cause to celebrate – over his loss.

They posted on X: 'F**k yes Louis is not the winner #CBBUK Mission Complete.'

Louis had earlier called Jedward 'vile' saying on the reality programme: 'They were vile. But they were novelty, it was great for the show, and it was all about the show.'

The pair later took to X and claimed claimed they 'fired' Louis after he 'b*****d and talked about us,' and described him as an 'evil manipulator' who 'tried to make us sign our name and life away without our mom we wouldn't be here today! What an absolute weirdo with bad intentions for all.'

Bringing up past feuds, they went on: 'Girls aloud hate Louis! Jedward hate Louis! Ronan Keating hates Louis! All future acts should be made aware of what this VILE man is really like.'

'Louis reopened these wounds all by himself being spiteful and disrespectful we aren't going to have our character taken,' they said, concluding: 'Justice will be served.'

Celebrity Big Brother is available to watch on ITVX.
