Loewe opens vibrant crafted world exhibition in Shanghai
Loewe fans can peek inside the creative genius of Jonathan Anderson in a new global exhibition in Shanghai. Celebrating the Spanish house's rich history, including Anderson's 10 years as creative director, the "Crafted World exhibition retrospectively chronicles the idiosyncratic Loewe universe. The interactive journey, held at the Shanghai Exhibition Centre, sees guests follow the designer from its origins as a leather-goods collective in Madrid in 1846 to becoming one of the world's leading luxury fashion houses, which remains an official purveyor of the Spanish Royal Family today.
Curated by Anderson as "a homage to allthe craftspeople around the world that have dedicated their lives to the handmade," the 178-year-old design story presents the sights and sounds of the atelier in Spain, Loewe's acquisition by LVMH in the 20th century, as well as its first store opening in Shanghai. It culminates with Anderson's influence on Loewe as creative director and hilariously, showcases a "pronunciation tunnel" designedto help show how to say LO-EV-EH." The "Crafted World exhibition runs from March 22-May 5.
CAMILLA launches Snow White-inspired collection
Australia's favourite floaty, print designer is dabbling with Disney yet again. After CAMILLA revealed a unique couture gown inspired by Minnie Mouse as part of Disney's 100-year celebrations-the Sydney-based designer has now unveiled a Snow White-themed collection. The colourful collaboration sees CAMILLA's distinctive design effortlessly infused with the magic and enchantment of Disney's first princess with six unique prints and over sixty pieces across the brand's Womens, Mens, Kids, Accessories and Homeware offerings. The wearable art ranges from intricately-embroidered bomb er jackets to silk dresses adorned with alluring prints all of which also pay homage to CAMILLA's founder's love of Disney storytelling.

Saint Laurent launches a book with Juergen Teller
Anthony Vaccarello is paying tribute to longtime collaborator, Juergen Teller. The Saint Laurent creative director honours the famed photographer with the release of a new book, Babylone.
The text collates all of the campaigns Teller has produced in collaboration with Anthony Vaccarello for Saint Laurent across the last five years, as well as a select few editorials. Its release comes after Teller's largest exhibition to date, held at Paris' Grand Palais phmre.
Veja brings back the Volley
Veja has just launched an updated version of its first-ever sneaker.
Inspired by the look of '70s Brazilian volleyball shoes, the style first debuted in 2005 at Palais de Tokyo in Paris. Nearly two decades on, it is revisited with a sustainable approach and in nine different colourways.
Crafted in Brazil using Organic Traced leather and 100 per cent cotton laces, the process highlights Veja's ongoing commitment to eco-friendly practice, craftsmanship and supporting local artisans. So not only wearing a stylish piece of history, but you can feel good about it, too.
Shona Joy takes step for sustainability
A major moment for sustainable fashion in the local market, Shona Joy is set to be the first brand in Australia to launch a repair service in partnership with RNTR the first of their clients to do so.
Designed to encourage customers to prolong the lifetime of their garments and in turn, promote a more circular approach to shopping, the aftercare initiative will be launched in partnership with the online rental platform.
We pride ourselves in designing and developing garments that stand the test of time and maintain a constant focus on quality and craftsmanship with all of our patternmaking, fits and quality control completed in-house by our incredible team. We're always looking for ways to extend the lifespan of our garments and have long searched for a partner who could maintain our high quality standards. We are so excited to be partnering with RNTR to help us offer a repair service for our customers, so that our garments can continue to be worn and loved for longer," says Danielle Millar, COO of Shona Joy.
The repair service will be available to book through Shona Joy's website from March 2024.
Hublot hosts a celebrity culinary masterclass with Clare Smyth
Masterchef, the luxury edition. At the end of February, master Swiss watchmaker Hublot hosted friends of a brand, including actor Lincoln Younes; celebrity personal trainer, Jono Castano; interior stylist, Steve Cordony; and model and content creator, Jarvis Aivali for an exclusive cooking masterclass he;d at Oncore by Clare Smyth. Led by the eponymous founder herself, the three-star Michelin chef and Hublot ambassador got some of Australia's most acclaimed to roll up their sleeves with watches on show, to prepare their very own fine dining meal.
While not quite the pressure challenge that some reality show's make it out to be, the opportunity offered Hublot friends to learn some culinary tips and tricks from the legendary British chef and taste their very own Michelin-inspired meal. With sweeping views of the sunny-skied Sydney Harbour, it was the perfect time to show off Hublot's latest timepieces which glistened through the sun-reflecting windows-and indulge in a three-hatted feast. Bon apptit!
The New Trend launches first Sydney flagship
One of Melbourne's favourite luxury retailers has gone harbourside. The New Trend (TNT), adored for its curated designer collections, has hit the trendy Sydney suburb of Paddington with an elevated and art-minded boutique. The interior design, carefully considered to fit the area's chic and relaxed residential vibe, also embraces defining styles of TNT's luxury aesthetic. Furnishings by Melbourne-based En Gold has been juxtaposed with pieces by local artist, Paige Northwood, to help balance the store's Melbourne roots with its new Sydney home.

Mulberry opens its first directly-operated store in New Zealand
Mulberry has unveiled its newly relocated store in Auckland, situated inside Westfield Newmarket. The March 6 opening marks that of the first directly-operated Mulberry store in New Zealand.
Featuring textural elements and a palette inspired by the British countryside, the retail interior evokes the charm of Mulberry's heritage. It's an ambient setting in which to discover the brand's signature and seasonal offerings, such as the recently-released Lana and Pimlico collection, and iconic Bayswater style.
The Australian Fashion Week lineup has been announced
On March 12, IMG announced the full list of designers set to show at Australian Fashion Week 2024-which will arrive at Sydney's Carriageworks from May 13-17.
