COPS who may need saved Bronson Battersby have been just two minutes away from the flat while he starved to dying, it has emerged.
The tragic tot died after his father Kenneth suffered a heart attack of their basement flat in Skegness, Lincolnshire, leaving the two-year-old to fend for himself at the hours of darkness and cold.
Native police have referred themselves to the Independent Office of Police Conduct (IOPC) to find out whether or not there were "any missed opportunities" to stop the boy's demise.
Bronson's physique along with that of his dad, 60, was discovered on January 9 after social providers contacted the cops.

Regional Director for the IOPC, Derrick Campbell, stated: "The harrowing circumstances through which Kenneth and Bronson Battersby died are really surprising.
"Our sympathies exit to everyone affected by their sad deaths.
"It's applicable we stock out an unbiased investigation to think about the police response to any prior welfare considerations that have been raised. We can be analyzing whether or not there have been any missed alternatives by police to verify on Mr Battersby and Bronson sooner.
