Who is Dan Schneider?

Dan Schneider, or Daniel James Schneider, is an American TV producer and actor.

He was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, and relocated to Los Angeles to begin his career in the entertainment world.

The Harvard dropout began his TV career in the 80s, starring in films like Making the Grade, Better Off Dead, and The Big Picture.

He began his producing career in 1993 after meeting the Nickelodeon development executive at the Kids' Choice Awards in 1988.

While at Nickelodeon, Schneider produced some of the brand's most popular shows, including Drake & Josh, Zoey 101, and iCarly.

He parted ways with Nickelodeon in 2018 after accusations of his misconduct came to light.

On March 17, 2024, Investigation Discovery will begin airing a four-part series entitled Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV.

The docuseries will explore allegations of misconduct, abuse, and toxicity at Nickelodeon, including by Schneider.

He has denied these allegations through a spokesperson who spoke with The Hollywood Reporter.

Everything that happened on the shows Dan ran was carefully scrutinized by dozens of involved adults, and approved by the network.

Had there been any scenes or outfits that were inappropriate in any way, they would have been flagged and blocked by this multilayered scrutiny.

In addition, every day on every set, there were always parents and caregivers and their friends watching filming and rehearsals.

Do they have children?

The two married in 2002 after meeting at Nickelodeon in the 90s.

They do not have children and currently reside in Encino, California, with their dog named Lolly.
