THELMA and Louise legends Susan Sarrandon and Geena Davis looked stunning as they reunited yesterday – more than three decades on from the iconic movie.
The actors attended a 90s Con panel about the road trip flick directed by Ridley Scott.
They instantly became superstars for their roles in the memorable Ridley Scott flick[/caption]Susan and Genna played Louise and Thelma who embark on a road trip[/caption]Geena, 68, and Susan, 77, sat together on the stage in Hartford, Connecticut and spoke to the audience while dressed in stylish black outfits.
They were joined by fellow actress and Oscar winner Mira Sorvino, 56, who thanked them for being feminist trailblazers in Hollywood.
Mira was close to tears while discussing a lengthy gap in her career, after she became a huge star in the 1997 comedy Romy and Michele's High School Reunion.
She had won Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Woody Allen's Mighty Aphrodite the year before.
She told the audience: " I moved into a different echelon at that point.
"For me, it was definitely an upgrade in terms of scripts being offered, but I was basically not known before.
"I mean, it was my 10th film, but I wasn't a household name. I had some press on a few different projects, like Quiz Show and Barcelona, but people didn't really know who I was.
"So it turned me through that Oscar season into a known actress rather than an unknown actress."
She continued: "For a time, I had a lot of wonderful offers and then, my career was stifled by Harvey Weinstein. So, I stopped doing [major] studio movies after 1998."
She apoligised for becoming emotional and said in 1998 she had "rejected him the third time."
The jailed movie mogul was caged for rape and accused of sexual assault by more than 100 women.
Mira also thanked Geena, who is known for advocating for gender quality, while speaking about the recent critically-acclaimed Starz series, Shining Vale.
"I also just want to say that thanks to the work of Geena [Davis]'s Institute," she said.
"I believe the show that unfortunately just got canceled, but that I loved so much, that was Shining Vale with Courteney Cox and Greg Kinnear, that had a 50/50 crew.
"It had [an] all-female writers room except for Jeff Astrof, our honorary woman, and it had all female directors.
"Every single episode for two seasons was directed by female directors. So, there are changes happening."
Oscar winners Geena and Susan have remained good friends over the years.
Not long ago they reunited to celebrate 30 years since the film, and the duo wore matching black tops that said "She's my Thelma & I'm her Louise," or the reverse, for the event.
The landmark feminist movie, that saw the stars both nominated for Best Actress at the Oscars, made Geena a household name alongside Brad Pitt.
But life has not been smooth sailing for the actors.
Geena, also known for her roles in other classics movies including Beetlejuice and A League of Their Own, appeared on ITV show Loose Women in 2022 and spoke about being diagnosed with attention deficit disorder.
Also that year, Susan came out as bisexual in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
