Naked Attraction's Anna Richardson taken aback by contestant's sexuality she's 'never heard before'
Naked Attraction's Anna Richardson has been left shocked hearing about a sexuality she'd never come across before.
The raunchy Channel 4 dating programme is back for a new series, with host Anna, 53, aiding singletons in finding their future partners.
For the uninitiated, Naked Attraction sees contestants asked to pick one of six people to go on a date with, but the catch is all they have to judge by are body parts slowly being revealed.
A recent episode saw 25-year-old Toni-Ann on the hunt for love, revealing how she likes to write erotic fiction in her spare time and is a 'body-positive content creator'.
As Anna quizzed her on her dating life and what she's looking for in love, she turned towards the hopefuls in the pods, asking: 'Toni pens erotic fiction, if you were going to be writing your own dirty novel, what would you call it and why?'
'Vaginal Wind in the Willows because I like to explore people in nature,' the person standing in the blue pod replied.
'Oh, so you're an exhibitionist?' Toni-Ann asked, to which they replied: 'Kind of, I'd say more of an ecosexual.'
Both Toni-Ann and Anna were left questioning what that meant before the contestant explained: 'Someone who finds nature sexy.'
Anna then went on to explain, in a voiceover: 'This is a growing movement that treats nature as a sensual partner and over 100,000 people now identify as ecosexual worldwide.'
'How a person expresses their equal, sexuality ranges widely from ceremonies where you can marry mother nature, to sex with trees and even masturbating under waterfalls,' she went on.
'But be warned as sexual encounters in the great outdoors could land you with a stiff fine.'
What is ecosexuality?
An ecosexual person is someone who finds nature romantic and sexy.
According to Here Come The Ecosexuals, ecosexual is defined as 'a person who imagines the Earth as their lover' and 'a term used in dating that described a person interested in environmentalism'.
Their manifesto states: 'The Earth is our lover. We are madly, passionately, and fiercely in love, and we are grateful for this relationship each and every day.
'In order to create a more mutual and sustainable relationship with the Earth, we collaborate with nature. We treat the Earth with kindness, respect and affection.'
Toni-Ann admitted she was 'up for anything' after Anna quizzed her on wanting to be ecosexual, and she later went on to pick the person in the blue pod, later revealed to be Holly.
Sharing an update a month later, Toni-Ann and Holly returned to the cameras, saying they're 'somewhere on the spectrum in between friends and romance.'
Anna previously told Metro.co.uk that she's getting her head around 'all these terminologies.'
'It's really fun and at its core, it's a show about acceptance, it's a show about confidence, it's a show about visibility and it is body-positive,' the Changing Rooms star went on.
'It beautifully reflects the diversity in the landscape of the UK and whether you love it or loathe it, you watch it.
'It's become cult viewing and it is weirdly multigenerational. I have parents tell me they watch it with their children.'
Naked Attraction airs Wednesdays at 10pm on Channel 4.
