THE getaway car used in the gangland execution of Marc Webley has been discovered by cops.
Police swooped on a garage in the Lochend area of Edinburgh on Tuesday afternoon where they discovered the red Hyundai Tucson.
The area was immediately taped off by officers with the scene being scoured for clues.
Webley was shot dead on Hogmanay with cops later confirming the motor was driven in the direction of Leith – which is close-by to where the car was found.
A source said: "Edinburgh has CCTV cameras all over the city as well as private cameras, it wasn't going to take police long to find the motor.
"The area was cordoned off on Tuesday before the car was taken away for testing. It is the same car that was used by the shooter.
"They were also searching the area including inside bins for any other evidence."
We told yesterday how cops hunting Webley's assassin revealed they had identified a red Hyundai Tucson which the shooter got out of before the Anchor Inn attack in the capital's Granton.
The killer got back in the motor where at least one accomplice was waiting before speeding off.
Webley – previously jailed for an attempted gun murder and an intimidation plot – died in the shooting which also wounded a man, 39. He remains stable in hospital.
We revealed how he was targeted following a feud with a love rival which also saw him bad mouth a crime Mr Big in an online video.
He also made several other films goading his enemies to "come and get it".

We reported in November how Jane posted a picture of her and Webley hugging in a bar.
The next day, they enjoyed dinner and drinks at the capital's Village Hotel, at the Urban Bar and Grill.
Jane uploaded more pics of her embracing the con to a soundtrack of Can You Feel The Love Tonight?
But she later shared an influencer's video about not caring what others think. But the couple split after just a few weeks.
And in a chilling twist, he predicted his own death in tearful footage posted just weeks before he was murdered outside his local boozer.
In the footage captioned "Rip Marc, always love my boys", he says he will "die happy" and tells his two sons that he loves them.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 2.45pm on Tuesday, 2 January, 2024, officers investigating a death in the Granton area of Edinburgh recovered a car in Darvel Gait, Edinburgh.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish if this was the vehicle involved."
