FIVE individuals have been injured in a suspected mass stabbing near a university at present.
A brawl involving two groups of around 20 individuals is claimed to have damaged out on Meyrick Street, outdoors the Roundhouse Lodge, near to the Bournemouth and Poole School, in Bournemouth.
A fleet of police automobiles and ambulances descended in town centre at 2.45pm. They have been joined by three air ambulances.
A witness described seeing three individuals being carried away by paramedics.
Although Dorset Police confirmed that four individuals sustained accidents in the incident, the ambulance service stated 5 have been taken to hospital.
It isn't recognized how critical the accidents are but one casualty was taken to Southampton Hospital which is a serious trauma centre.
A suspect was arrested on the scene in connection with the incident.
Two roads within the Lansdowne area of Bournemouth town centre have been cordoned off.
Police forensic officers might be seen looking in bushes and bins for a potential weapon.
A lady who witnessed part of the incident stated: "I all of a sudden saw this mass brawl.
"There have been 10 on all sides they usually have been preventing. I feel they have been two teams of school students.
"I saw considered one of them lifting another boy's shirt up to verify if he had been harm."
A mother or father, who was outdoors the school to gather their son, stated: "It was like a free for all brawl within the street. Never seen scenes like it."
One other bystander stated: "I got here down here as a result of my granddaughter works at the school and I needed to verify she was OK.
"I've heard three individuals have been carried away on stretchers and there had been stabbings. It occurred outdoors the school."
A spokesperson for Dorset Police stated: "Dorset Police acquired a report at 2.46pm of a disturbance in Meyrick Street in Bournemouth.
"Officers have attended the scene and are conducting enquiries.
"Four individuals are reported to have sustained injuries, we shouldn't have any further situation updates presently.
"One individual has been detained in reference to the incident and police are persevering with to hold out enquiries within the area."
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service stated: "We have been referred to as at 2.54pm to an incident on Meyrick Street, Bournemouth.
"We sent 5 double-crewed ambulances, three air ambulances, and two operations officers.
"We conveyed four sufferers by land ambulance to Poole Hospital and one affected person by land ambulance to Southampton Common Hospital."
A spokeswoman for Bournemouth and Poole School stated: "We understand that an incident has occurred outdoors the Bournemouth Campus of Bournemouth and Poole School this afternoon.
"Police are at present in attendance, and our workforce is aiding them as required.
"Because of the incident being a police matter, we're unable to remark further at this time limit."
