Boo! A Madea Halloween is the tenth installment of the Madea franchise.

The comedy horror film revolves around Brian (Tyler Perry) forbidding his daughter Tiffany (Diamond White) from attending a frat party, which sets off a string of Halloween pranks.

Speaking with Rotten Tomatoes in October 2017, Patrice Lovely, who plays Madea's old friend Hattie, opened up about Perry helping her shape the character.

"When it comes to film and television, my first show was with Tyler Perry, so he took me under his wing and nursed me pretty much," she said. "Hattie's antics, her charisma, her wisdom, all of that has always been there, but you know, the fact that he took me and kind of toned me down, made me bigger where I needed to be, just nurtured me, and for that I'm grateful."

While the film shows family and friends at odds, many of the cast members have happier personal relationships. Cassi Davis — who plays Madea's rowdy Aunt Bam — has been married to her husband Kerry Patton since 2017, and Bella Thorne – who plays Tiffany's friend Rain – is engaged to producer Mark Emms.

Here's everything to know about the real-life partners of the Boo! A Madea Halloween cast.

Perry wrote, directed and produced Boo! A Madea Halloween. He also pulled triple duty as an actor, portraying Madea, Joe and Brian in the project.

The creator is not known to be romantically involved with anyone, but does share son Aman Tyler Perry with ex-girlfriend Gelila Bekele. The pair, who dated from 2007 to 2020, welcomed their only child together on Nov. 30, 2014.

During a Q&A with Gayle King at the Tribeca Film Festival in June 2022, Perry shared how he and Bekele work together to make sure their son is humble.

"I think, when you have a team like Gelila and I are, she is very grounded and balanced at making sure he stays that way," he said. "Because I have wrestled with, I want to give him everything, because I didn't have it."

Perry added, "We teach him about the struggle. We teach him about what a blessing it is to have anything! So he gets that, in this sense. And I want to make sure he maintains that."

Speaking with The Detroit News in November 2016, White said that she and Perry were able to build a good rapport on set, despite their characters often being at odds.

"Even on set, Tyler was very playful with me and a lot of the lines that made it into the movie were improvised," she said. "So it was fun being able to play around and be the brat because I realized that if I ever said those things to my mom, I would not still be alive."

The actress and her husband, Patton, tied the knot on Jan. 11, 2017, at the Chapel of the Flowers in Las Vegas. The pair are high school sweethearts who reunited later in life and mainly keep their relationship out of the spotlight.

"We met in the third grade, and of course, you grow up and you go your separate ways, and we were apart for about twenty years, and divinely God brought us back together in 2007," Davis shared during an appearance on Ray Cornelius's radio show Upfront in January 2017.

She continued, "You know, you think you're committed and you say you're committed, but life just has to live itself, and then afterwards, we're good. And so now, we're married."

Thorne returned the gesture to Emms when she proposed to him in August 2025.

"3 years ago we met, 1 year later he proposed, Now 1 year later so did I 🥴❤️," Thorne wrote on Instagram alongside a video of her getting down on one knee.
