Comedy legend Steve Brown dies aged 66 | A1CS1E3 | 2024-02-06 21:08:01
A comedy composer greatest recognized for his work on Spitting Image has died aged 66.
Steve Brown's agent confirmed he had died from lung disease over the weekend.
The composer was recognized for writing songs for TV collection Spitting Image and his collaboration with& Steve Coogan& and Lenny Henry.
During his career, Brown performed fictional bandleader Glenn Ponder in Steve Coogan's Figuring out Me, Understanding You with Alan Partridge.
He was also a forged member of BBC Radio four's comedy sketch collection In One Ear, from 1984 to 1986.
Saying his dying, Brown's agent Vivienne Clore wrote on X: 'Devastated to share the news that our a lot liked shopper Steve Brown has handed away.
'Sod fibrosis lung disease.'
Following his work on In One Ear, Brown went on to write down most of the songs for the satirical comedy show Spitting Image within the late 1980s and everything of the 1990s.
In 1995, he composed the music for The Ant & Dec Present on Youngsters's BBC, and later labored on their SMTV Stay programme, for which he wrote the 'Wonky Donkey' jingle, amongst other themes.
He continued to work extensively as a jingle writer for their ITV present Saturday Night time Takeaway.

The composer also labored on exhibits together with Lee Mack's Not Going Out, The Brian Conley Present, New Tips and Lenny Henry Goes to Town.
He also wrote songs for BBC Youngsters's TV exhibits Playaway and Play Faculty, as well as the ITV collection My Mother and father Are Aliens.
On the stage, Brown composed the rating and co-wrote the ebook and lyrics of the West End musical Spend Spend Spent, as well as I Can't Sing! The X Issue Musical.
Brown is survived by sons, comedian Alfie Brown and musician Lenny Brown, in addition to actress wife Deborah Cornelius and stepdaughter Manon.
