Hurricane Helene tears through Florida killing at least three as warnings are issued for 60 million people across 12 states
Hurricane Helene has made landfall in Florida - and brought with it catastrophic damage to countless homes. The storm was updated to Category 4 earlier in the evening, and hit the state' Big Bend region just after 11pm. The National Hurricane Center conceded that lives will likely be lost, with three recorded just a few hours in. Helene had already spurred warnings and several states of emergencies, not only Florida, but all the way to Georgia and the Carolinas.
