A JAMES Bond audiobook narrator has admitted altering Ian Fleming's novel because it makes 007 sound like a creepy intercourse offender.
Martin Jarvis, 82, was given the job of recording a new audio version of Casino Royale.
Asked whether or not he wanted to "tweak" the 1953 unique, Mr Jarvis stated: "Oh goodness sure.
"Bond's angle to ladies in a few of these novels is barely creepy.
"There are one or two when, to not put too superb some extent on it, he's nearly raping ladies."
Mr Jarvis, also a distinguished radio and TV actor, added: "So I have to slice away a number of the things he says."
Asked if a lady could possibly be 007, he stated: "To say it needs to be a man feels incorrect.
"However, I'd be sorry to lose the Bondness of Bond."
