GYEONGJU (Reuters) -U.S. President Donald Trump said on Thursday he did not discuss chipmaker Nvidia's state-of-art Blackwell artificial intelligence chip during talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

He was walking back the previous day's remarks about potentially helping the company to export a scaled-down version of its current flagship GPU processor, a key component in the AI race.

But Nvidia's hopes to get approval from the United States and China to sell a scaled-down version of its most powerful AI chip yet took a hit from Trump's comments on Thursday.

"We're not talking about Blackwell chips," Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One, after leaving the meeting with Xi, their first since he returned to the White House.

En route to South Korea on Wednesday, he said he might discuss the chip with the Chinese leader.

SINGAPORE (Reuters) -U.S. President Donald Trump held talks with China's Xi Jinping at a South Korean air base on Thursday, with both leaders sounding optimistic about cooling trade tensions between the world's two largest economies.

Market reaction was fairly muted as investors awaited further details of any agreement with Chinese stocks holding steady near a 10-year peak.

Here are some comments from market analysts and investors:

TARECK HORCHANI, HEAD OF DEALING, PRIME BROKERAGE, MAYBANK SECURITIES, SINGAPORE:

"The U.S.–China trade truce is likely to be greeted as a relief rally rather than a structural reset. When such truces occur, one of the first areas both sides highlight is agriculture, a politically sensitive sector in the U.S. where farmers form a key constituency.

"Overall, this looks like a tactical pause rather than a strategic breakthrough, with underlying tensions in technology, supply chains and rare earths still unresolved."

DICKIE WONG, HEAD OF RESEARCH, KINGSTON SECURITIES, HONG KONG:

"I don't see there's any major optimistic surprise at this point, both for the markets and the U.S.-China talks. It's still that same question - after the meeting ends, does it really mean the two countries will have a joint statement, and then the U.S. will roll back all tariffs on China, drop tech curbs, and China will export rare earths again? I don't see any possibility.

"The markets have already priced in much of the positives and there could be an 'anti-climax' development."

MUHAMMAD SAIFUDDIN BIN SAPUAN, ECONOMIST, KENANGA INVESTMENT BANK, KUALA LUMPUR:

"I think this is a tactical pause rather than a structural shift as both likely aim to ease tensions. But the truce will help stabilise global sentiment and trade expectations in the short term, which offers a relief for global demand and supply chain.

"Nevertheless, we still think that structural decoupling between the U.S. and China will continue to shape the long-term outlook."

Actress Sally StruthersdelightedGilmore Girls fans with her portrayal of Lorelai Gilmore's (Lauren Graham) quirky and somewhat nosy neighbor, Babette Dell.

While speaking to The New York Post in October 2025, Struthers said that she improvised a memorable Babette moment from Season 6, Episode 1. In the scene, Babette frantically runs over to Luke Danes (Scott Patterson) while clutching her chest.

"We were shooting at night, and my character, Babette, had to run from the town square to Luke's Diner. I had news to tell, like the town crier," recalled the All in The Family star while speaking to the publication. "After that many runs, my breasts were hurting, being jiggled up and down. I didn't have on a sports bra, or anything. So I was holding them, and running."

She also said that her action "cracked up" Gilmore Girls' creator Amy Sherman-Palladino, who "couldn't believe [she] was doing that."

"That's the take that's in the show – Babette running, holding her breasts," quipped the 79-year-old actress.

Struthers appeared as Babette during the show's original seven-season run, which ended in 2007. She also portrayed the character in the 2016 Netflix four-episode reboot, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. per IMDb.

Scott Patterson Said He Improvised a Touching Moment During 'Gilmore Girls'

Struthers isn't the only Gilmore Girls star who had an unscripted moment. In an October 2025 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Patterson shared he improvised a moment wherein Luke provides words of support to Lorelai in Season 4. He explained that while Lorelai tearfully shares she would like to have a partner to help her open her inn, he decided that Luke would give her a comforting squeeze.

"I remember after we shot it, especially the close-up because it requires Lauren to emote on a very deep level, and it's very difficult and specific and scary," said Patterson while speaking to The Hollywood Reporter. "It doesn't matter how talented you are or how easily you wear your heart on your sleeve, you're doing this in front of 30 people and it's midnight and cold and everybody's tired. I just remember after we finished, I held her head and wrapped her in my arms a little bit — none of that was scripted."

According to Patterson, Graham appreciated the gesture.

Typically, a Bachelor or Bachelorette franchise show airs the (Wo)Men Tell All special the week before the finale. So why are there two more new episodes of The Golden Bachelor season 2?

The Golden Bachelor Season 2 Finale is Two Parts

Instead of a three-hour finale airing in one night, where the first two hours would be the Fantasy Suites and the final proposal (or rejection), and then the third hour would be the reunion special, The Golden Bachelor season 2 is airing its finale across two weeks. That is also what the first season did.

The November 5 episode will be the first half of the finale, which presumably will be the Fantasy Suites since that is typically what the first half of the finale entails.

Then, on November 12, there will be a two-hour episode comprised of the latter half of the finale, where perhaps Mel Owens will get engaged to either Peg Munson or Cindy Cullers, followed by the After the Final Rose reunion.

Golden Bachelor Mel Promises a 'Brilliant' Finale

In an interview with Us Weekly, Mel teased for viewers that the finale is "brilliant" and that fans "won't believe" how the season ends.

"You have the setting, and I know who it is," he said of his final choice. "It's really emotional. And you're a little nervous, but it's so brilliant. … It's so good, you won't believe it."

He added, "You won't believe how we get there. Not mechanically, but how we get there emotionally. There's some movement and twists and turns."

When asked about the fantasy suites, Mel said his approach to those overnight dates was "contemplative, conversation, information."

"I went in there really wanting to know more, because the cameras are off … and now I can ask questions you might not want to say while you're miked and on camera," said Mel.

The Golden Bachelor airs Wednesday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC and streams on Hulu the next day. The new season of The Bachelorette is moving to a new night when it premieres its 22nd season on Sunday, March 22, 2026.

Erika Kirk walked onto the stage at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) Wednesday night to a packed house for her first Turning Point USA campus appearance since the murder of her husband, Charlie Kirk.

"It's hard not to cry after watching," she said of the video tribute that played before she took the microphone. "I haven't seen that... that video since that day happened."

"Being on campus right now for me is a spiritual reclaiming of territory," she said. "There is a lot of symbolism in today. It's Wednesday, seven weeks. And the more that I am coming to grips with the permanency of this nightmare, the more that I am starting to realize and witness that the enemy, he doesn't want you."

He wants your territory. He wants your influence. And I could just hear Charlie in my heart. I could hear him say, 'Go reclaim that territory, babe. Go — the battles that God's love conquers.' And that's why I'm here today," she added.

Turning Point Usa Elects Erika Kirk As New Ceo, Chair Of The Board Following Charlie Kirk's Assassination

Erika Kirk speaks during a "This Is the Turning Point" campus tour event at the University of Mississippi, in Oxford, Miss., Wednesday.

Erika thanked the students who filled the arena, many wearing 'Freedom' T-shirts like the one she wore at the podium. "You have no idea how helpful it is to have all of you in my life, because you help me feel even more deeply connected to my husband," she told them.

She recalled how Charlie made a point at every Turning Point USA event to stop and talk with student leaders. "He would ask you what your name is, what you're studying, what issues are going on on campus," she said. "He wanted you to know he was investing in you: into your chapter, into your school. That was a pulse point for him.""Earn your voice," she urged. "You are the courageous generation. That's what you are. All of you, Gen Z, you are the courageous generation. Make him proud."

Who Is Erika Kirk?: What To Know About The Late Charlie Kirk's Widow From Their Love Story To His Legacy

Erika Kirk, Charlie Kirk's widow, speaks during a Turning Point USA event where Vice President JD Vance also spoke at the University of Mississippi, in Oxford, Miss., Wednesday.

"I lost my friend. I lost my best friend," she said. "If you're nervous about standing up for the truth, the murder of my husband puts into perspective all those fears. My husband never went with the flow. He believed the harder path was always the right one, because comfort doesn't change the world."

She shared for the first time with the audience present that for weeks after Charlie's murder she avoided their bedroom at home.

"It took me a while to even just make it back into our bedroom," she said. "I used to sprint from the opening door into the bathroom and sprint out. I was not ready to walk into our bedroom yet, and when I was finally able to sleep in our bed for the first time, I slept on his side of the bed."

Erika Kirk Says Late Husband's Death Sparked 'Revival' At Arizona Memorial

Attendees listen as Vice President JD Vance speaks during a "This Is the Turning Point" campus tour event at Ole Miss, in Oxford, Miss., Wednesday.

From that spot, she said, she finally saw what Charlie saw every morning, the framed words on the wall: "They will be known by the boldness of their faith."

"He saw that every single morning he woke up," Erika said. "I didn't, because I was on the other side, facing the window. But from his side, that's what he saw first."

On his desk, she added, were three questions Charlie had written out and asked himself each day: "What is something I can do for someone today? What is something I can do to add value to the world today? How can I honor God today?"

"Those were his action points for courage," Erika said. "Ask yourself those questions every day, and I promise you, you will get courage. What death amplifies even more is that you only get one life. So live like it matters."

"Love your family fearlessly. Love your spouse fearlessly. Love this country," she said. "Defend her and serve our God. And don't think that it's someone else's role to do it. You do it. You do it." The audience broke into applause.

"This moment can either be your breaking point or your wake-up call," she said. "Essentially, your turning point."

She then introduced Vice President JD Vance, a friend of her late husband, calling him someone who "understands the fight that we're up against and can articulate that in a way that transcends race and background."

"There will never be another Charlie," she said, "but I know he'd be proud to see us here tonight."

Tony Robbins has spent decades coaching people on their finances and one of his biggest messages is that wealth doesn't just come from what you earn. It actually comes from what you stop doing wrong with your money.

Trending Now: Why You Should Start Investing Now (Even If You Only Have $10)

For You: 6 Subtly Genius Moves All Wealthy People Make With Their Money

In other words, acquiring money is just step one. Real wealth is in how you handle the money you have. According to Robbins, many people sabotage their financial security through avoidable habits and limiting beliefs.

Here are the top things he says you need to quit if you want to build lasting wealth and peace of mind.

Trending Now: Suze Orman's Secret to a Wealthy Retirement--Have You Made This Money Move?

1. Stop Letting Limiting Beliefs Control Your Financial Decisions

Robbins often says that success is 80% psychology and only 20% mechanics. That means your beliefs about money play a far bigger role than most people realize. If you constantly tell yourself that you're bad with money, that wealth is only for other people or that you'll never get ahead financially, those thoughts become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Robbins encourages people to confront their negative money stories and replace them with empowering ones. By shifting your mindset and affirming that you can learn, grow and take control of your finances, you create the foundation for better financial behaviors.

2. Stop Spending Before You've Saved

One of Robbins' key principles is to "pay yourself first." Far too many people spend freely, then try to save whatever happens to remain at the end of the month. More often than not, what's left over is little to nothing.

This approach keeps you on the paycheck-to-paycheck treadmill and leaves you vulnerable to emergencies and setbacks. Instead, Robbins advises automating your savings and investments so money is set aside before you even touch it. By making saving a non-negotiable expense, you guarantee that you're steadily building security and wealth, rather than relying on willpower to save "later."

3. Stop Accumulating High-Interest Debt Without a Plan

Robbins also warns against letting debt, especially high-interest credit card balances, control your financial life. Interest works two ways: It can either compound for you when you invest or compound against you when you carry debt.

Left unchecked, credit card balances and long-term loans can eat away at your cash flow and delay wealth building by decades. Robbins urges people to minimize borrowing whenever possible and, if debt is unavoidable, to create a clear and aggressive payoff strategy. Prioritizing high-interest debt frees up money that can be redirected toward your goals instead of toward lenders' profits.

4. Stop Discounting Taxes and Fees

Another area Robbins emphasizes is the often-overlooked impact of taxes and fees. Many people focus on the gross returns from investments or retirement accounts without considering how much of those gains they'll actually keep. Hidden fees and tax inefficiencies can quietly erode your wealth over time. Financial planning should include taxes and fees.

Robbins encourages investors to learn the differences between pre-tax and post-tax retirement accounts, understand how their investments are taxed and choose vehicles that maximize long-term efficiency. By being tax-smart, you can ensure that your financial growth translates into real, spendable income down the line.

5. Stop Chasing Instant Results

Finally, Robbins cautions against the tendency to seek big, overnight change while overlooking the power of consistent, small actions. He calls this the "2-millimeter rule." It means that small, steady adjustments each day eventually create dramatic results. Too often, people try to overhaul their finances overnight, only to burn out and give up when progress feels slow.

Robbins believes that real wealth comes from creating habits you can sustain, such as saving a fixed percentage of your income, learning about money a little each week or investing regularly. Over time, these actions compound, both financially and psychologically, leading to massive change without overwhelming you.

Why Robbins' Advice Matters

The truth is that money mistakes happen, but they're often about habits, mindsets and blind spots. By continuing to carry debt, ignoring taxes or telling yourself limiting stories, you give away power over your financial future.

Robbins' advice is a reminder that small shifts in behavior and perspective can unlock huge results. If you stop sabotaging yourself and instead focus on consistent, intentional choices, you can build the security and freedom that money is meant to provide.
