(Reuters) -Microsoft reported blockbuster growth in its cloud-computing business on Wednesday that pushed its quarterly revenue past Wall Street estimates, showing businesses are still splurging on artificial intelligence services despite fears of a bubble.

The results highlight the growing returns from Microsoft's massive AI investments. They come as a web of circular deals, soaring valuations and limited evidence of AI productivity gains have raised doubts about how long the boom will hold.

Shares of the company were down 4.2% in extended trading.

Microsoft said the Azure cloud business, its key AI unit, grew 40% in the July-September period - its fiscal first quarter - outpacing Visible Alpha estimates of about 38.4%.

Total revenue rose 18% to $77.7 billion, beating expectations of $75.33 billion, according to data compiled by LSEG.

That marked the tech company's second major win this week, following a revised deal with OpenAI that gave it a 27% stake worth about $135 billion, as well as a cut of sales and access to intellectual property, clearing up uncertainty about the collaboration with the company synonymous with the AI boom.

The partnership, which gives Microsoft exclusive access to the models behind ChatGPT, has been key to Azure's rapid growth in recent quarters and strengthened its challenge to top cloud provider Amazon.com. It is also crucial to Microsoft's other AI services, such as 365 Copilot for businesses.

That AI push has turned Microsoft into the world's second-most valuable firm with a $4 trillion market value, trailing only the $5 trillion chip company Nvidia. The stock, up nearly 30% this year, is among the best performers in the "Magnificent 7."

Some analysts have praised Microsoft's decision in recent months to let some OpenAI contracts go to Oracle, saying it shows discipline in steering limited AI capacity toward more profitable enterprise customers. The move is part of a broader strategy to lessen its dependence on OpenAI by building its own models and partnering with other AI firms, including Anthropic.

Still, capacity limits have hampered Microsoft's ability to fully cash in on AI. The company and other major cloud providers are expected to spend about $400 billion on data centers and AI chips this year, with executives and analysts saying such spending is necessary to harness the technology's potential.

Starbucks reported better-than-expected revenue in its fiscal fourth quarter as its U.S. sales improved.

The Seattle-based company said its net revenue rose 5% to $9.6 billion in the July-September period. That was better than the $9.3 billion Wall Street was expecting, according to analysts polled by FactSet.

Starbucks' global same-store sales, or sales at locations open at least a year, rose 1% compared to the same period a year ago. It was the first time in seven quarters that the company posted an increase in same-store sales.

That increase was largely due to markets outside North America, where same-store sales rose 3%. In North America and the U.S., same-store sales were flat. But that was still an improvement from the third quarter, when U.S. same-store sales fell 2%.

But the improvement comes at a cost. Starbucks said its profit fell 85% in the fourth quarter to 12 cents per share as it carried out a $1 billion restructuring.

The company announced last month that it was laying off 900 non-retail employees and closing hundreds of stores. On Wednesday, Starbucks said it closed 627 stores as part of that restructuring; 90% of them were in North America.

Adjusted for one-time items, including its restructuring costs, Starbucks said it earned 52 cents per share in the fourth quarter. That was lower than the 56-cent profit analysts had forecast, according to FactSet.

Dove Cameron's love story with her boyfriend, Damiano David of Italian rock band Måneskin, began in fall 2023. The couple sparked dating rumors after they were seen getting close at a party. Cameron had also been spotted at one of Måneskin's New York City concerts in September, per People.

The couple confirmed their dating in February 2024 with their first red carpet appearance. In May 2024, they made their Met Gala debut. A little over a year later in October 2025, TMZ reported they had recently gotten engagement.

Here, what to know about David and his romance with Cameron.

getty imagesDavid and Cameron first sparked relationship rumors in October 2023.

According to an Italian news outlet, Cameron and David were first linked together in October 2023, when a video reportedly leaked on social media of the pair making out at an after-party at Dirty Mondays in Los Angeles. The PDA moment came after Cameron attended a New York City Måneskin concert the month before.

In October 2025, TMZ reported they had recently gotten engaged.

Two years into dating, Cameron and David celebrated a major milestone. TMZ reported on October 29 that the couple had recently gotten engaged. Cameron appeared in paparazzi photos, showing off the sizable diamond ring that David gave her as they walked together in Sydney.

Cameron spoke about how she and David first met and what happened when their dating became public.

Cameron spoke at length about David in her June 2024 Cosmopolitan digital cover story. When asked how they first met, Cameron revealed the connection wasn't immediately romantic.

She explained, "The first time was at the 2022 VMAs, and his band and I were both up for the same award. You just run into different artists backstage, and when I met them, I don't think I even spoke to Damiano. I didn't think anything of it. I went about my night. I'd just won a VMA. And then a couple months later, their team had reached out to me about coming to their album release, and I couldn't make it work with the dates, but I was like, 'Oh, that's so sweet that they thought about me. We only met once.' At one point, the band and I had been thinking about doing a collaboration. They had recorded something, so I went in, and I recorded over that track. They'd asked me to open for them on their tour and I couldn't make it happen. There were just these passing-ships-in-the-night things happening. So when we met again at the 2023 VMAs, we had a reason to talk to each other.

And when he came up to me, it felt like…I don't know, a year can do a lot. It felt like it had been 10 years or something. When we had met before, he was in a very different space and I was too, so we didn't register each other at all in that way. And then he was like, 'We're starting our world tour at Madison Square Garden. If you're still in town in a few days, we'd love it if you came.' It was super innocent. And then they invited me back to their greenroom and then we started talking and then he asked me to the after-party. And then very quickly it became 'Let's have dinner at 8:00 at this spot.' He's a Capricorn, so he was very much like, 'Okay, these are my intentions.' It was super honorable. He's like a 1950s gentleman, angel, teddy bear. He's the best person I've met in my life."

Their relationship became public before they were ready for it to be, Cameron explained later in the interview: "At one point, some paparazzi photos got leaked. We went back to the hotel room and we were like, 'Well. Fuck, I guess.' I think in the pap photos we were kissing, and both of us had never been in that situation. There's no handbook for how to handle this. We were pretty casual at that point. So it was, do we trust that this is going to go right? We didn't know. So we went about it in the most sane way we could think of, which is just leave it. Live our lives, but live them mostly quietly."

In November 2023, David and Cameron were seen together in Brazil and Australia.

It appears Cameron traveled with David during some of Måneskin's tour, as Cameron was seen in both Australia and Brazil in November 2023. At the beginning of the month, she was photographed leaving a Måneskin concert in Brazil with David.

In late November 2023, David and Cameron were photographed kissing and holding hands on Bondi Beach, Australia, while his band Måneskin was touring in the country.

David and Cameron had a January 2024 dinner date with friends.

On Jan. 24, 2024, the couple was photographed leaving dinner arm-in-arm. They had been on a double date at Catch Steak in West Hollywood, according to Just Jared.

They made their red carpet debut at the 2024 pre-Grammy gala.

The couple walked the red carpet at the 66th Pre-Grammy Gala on Feb. 3, 2024. They stopped to share a passionate kiss in front of photographers.

Cameron was wearing a sleeveless red dress with a corset bust, and David had on a black vest over a white button down with the sleeves rolled up.

Then, at the W magazine Grammys after-party on Sunday, February 4, they were photographed gazing into each other's eyes and smiling.

On May 6, Cameron and David made their Met Gala debut as a couple. While this was David's first time attending, Cameron previously went in 2022.

She wore a transparent, floral-embroidered gown designed by Diesel. David, also in Diesel, wore a black suit with transparent mesh cut-outs. On the red carpet, they put their rapport on display, smiling and laughing while looking into each other's eyes.

On Sunday, June 2, Cameron and David attended the third annual Cam for a Cause Gala for The Cameron Boyce Foundation. The event honors Cameron Boyce, her Descendants co-star and close friend who passed away in July 2019 from sudden unexpected death in epilepsy.

Cameron wore a pale-blue ball gown with black polka dots and a sweetheart neckline. David wore wide-leg trousers and a white button-up under a brown leather bomber jacket. He coordinated his tie to Cameron's dress.

Cameron opened up about how she and David were careful before exploring their romantic connection and what he taught her about how safety feels in relationships.

Cameron explained to Cosmopolitan in June 2024 that they were very cautious before beginning to really date each other and explore their romantic connection. "From the outside, it looks like it was very hot and heavy, and it looks like it was overnight, but we had both been in situations where we were very harmed in the past, and we are very sensitive people," she said. "And I think when we met, we were not looking, and it was just sort of investigating. It was like, 'Huh, that's interesting. That's not what I expected.' And so it was very, very slow, cautious, feeling-out, interview-type questions for eight hours before it was finally like, 'Okay, are we holding hands now?' I remember I was fascinated because he presents in a way that seems very easily digestible and then you spend two minutes around him and you realize he is the kindest, most generous, most innocent, most giving person. He's just a beautiful, sensitive soul."

She said generally of relationships, "I actually think that the safety that you build together allows for the solid ground, and then it's all exciting." David showed her that through his character. "I've been spending time with him and all of his friends and his brother, and they are incredibly sensitive, incredibly romantic, incredibly emotional, very caretaking, equal parts masculine, feminine, equal parts nurturing and protecting," Cameron said. "And I wouldn't say that American men aren't, but that's just something I've overwhelmingly noticed in Italy. There's a certain balance between masculine and feminine that is very attractive to me as someone who dates men and women. It feels whole to me."

She added that she met him as she was coming out as queer. "So how he knew me was through the lens of my queer identity," she said. "And as my partner, he is very, very supportive. I've never felt invalidated by dating him as a straight man. I've always felt like he saw me as my full self and for my identity, while also not feeling threatened or diminished by that."

David and Cameron celebrated their one-year anniversary on October 14.

Cameron shared a tribute post on Instagram, writing to David, "fastest year of my life. i only wish i met you sooner. ti amerò per sempre [I will love you forever]."

Cameron posted a tribute for their two-year anniversary in October 2025.

Two years into dating, Cameron expressed how happy she was with her partner in an adoring Instagram tribute. "The 2 best years of my life," she wrote on October 9. "I am brought to tears at least once a week because life has become so beautiful with you in it. i love you in a way no words could ever express, but i will never stop trying. buon anniversario amore mio."

David is the lead singer of Måneskin, an Italian rock band.

David started Måneskin (meaning "moonlight" in Danish) with friends Victoria De Angelis and Thomas Raggi in 2015, when they were teenagers in Rome. De Angelis told Variety that they found drummer Ethan Torchio "on Facebook."

Of how the band formed, De Angelis explained, "I was in a punk band with Damiano. He sucked, so we kicked him out: 'Ciao, bello!' Then I formed a different band with Thomas, but we needed a singer and a drummer. Meanwhile, Damiano had written to me and said, 'Can we please re-form the band?' I said OK, and we found Ethan on Facebook."

The band now has an enormous social following: 4.88 million subscribers on YouTube, 7.5 million followers on TikTok, and 6.8 million followers on Instagram.

One of their biggest moments came in 2021, when Måneskin represented Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest and won for their song "Zitte e Buoni."

Måneskin's discography consists of three studio albums (Il ballo della vita in 2018, Teatro d'ira - Vol. I in 2021, and Rush! in 2023), 13 singles, and two extended plays.

In 2017, the group auditioned for X Factor Italia season 11. Their performance of the song "Beggin'" by The Four Seasons went viral on TikTok several years later. They ended up getting second place. After the show, they went on to release an EP of covers, including their take on "Beggin'."

Cameron celebrated David's album released in March 2025.

On March 15, Cameron shared a post from David about his new album FUNNY little FEARS in her Instagram Stories, writing over it, "My favorite artist is releasing his new album on may 16 and i can't wait for everyone to hear it. i have never been so in aw and so proud of anyone in my entire life. i love you."

InstagramDavid is 26 years old.

David is a Capricorn born on Jan. 8, 1999. Cameron, born on Jan. 15, 1996, is also a Capricorn, making them a solid pairing astrologically.

According to the AstroTwins, "Two ambitious Capricorns are on a lifelong mission to get ahead. If you can reach the brass ring faster by teaming up, then why not? You certainly admire each other's unflagging determination and crafty tactics—and you apply your business savvy to courtship, much like a game of chess."

David is from Italy.

David is Italian. He was born and raised in Rome and speaks both English and Italian.

David said in January 2023 that he stopped drinking alcohol.

David spoke to The Guardian about Måneskin and hit back at public perception of them. "I think the view people have of us, and of me, it's very off-target," he said. "People think we behave like the Sex Pistols, or Mötley Crüe, but we're nothing like that. We've got more educated on the risks of drugs and how they affect your body. I don't even drink alcohol anymore."

Turns out Diane Lane felt like a bit of an outsider while filming The Outsiders.

The actress explained on Wednesday's episode of The Drew Barrymore Show why she chose to put some space between her and her up-and-coming male costars — Tom Cruise, Rob Lowe, Emilio Estevez, Ralph Macchio, C. Thomas Howell, Patrick Swayze, and Matt Dillon — while shooting the 1983 film adaptation of S.E. Hinton's celebrated coming-of-age novel.

"What was it like to be with literally every single young man who would become the biggest male movie stars?" host Drew Barrymore asked her. To which Lane replied, "It was hot! It was great."

Sunset Boulevard/Corbis via Getty

That is, to a certain extent. "It was kind of… too much testosterone for one girl," she admitted. "So I kept to myself. But I was definitely pinching myself. I was definitely overwhelmed."

Barrymore could easily see why Lane would feel that way with so many handsome actors on set. "I think that was the movie that made me realize like, 'I like boys,'" she said. "I was like, 'Oh wow, I get it now.'"

Directed by Francis Ford Coppola, The Outsiders chronicles the growing tension between two rival gangs: the working-class Greasers and the rich Socials, or Socs for short. When young Ponyboy Curtis (Howell) befriends Lane's character, Cherry, one night at the drive-in, he sets off a chain reaction that leads to unspeakable tragedy for both groups.

While visiting The Drew Barrymore Show, Lane also recalled her extra-sweet experience shooting the drive-in scene with Howell.

"I remember when we were at the movie theater and they were creating this windstorm," she said. "They had these big huge fans and they were throwing cocoa powder to make the dust so it wouldn't be toxic or get in our eyes."

Get your daily dose of entertainment news, celebrity updates, and what to watch with our EW Dispatch newsletter.

The powder also happened to make one pretty excellent snack in between takes. "By the end of the night we would just be, like, white striping," Lane said as she pretended to lick her hands, wipe them across her face, and then eat the imaginary cocoa. "Like, 'Mmm! That's good!' We all looked tan and sweet."

Lane isn't the only member of the Outsiders cast who has reflected on the film in recent years. In February 2024, Coppola shared footage of her, Dillon, Macchio, Cruise, Lowe, Howell, and Swayze's auditions on social media in honor of its 42nd anniversary.

"Forty-two years ago, we cast The Outsiders in a unique way," Coppola wrote. "We had all the actors together on a soundstage and would alternate different actors reading for different roles."

The filmmaker noted that the process could have gone off the rails "because each of them was watching their competition." He continued, "So while it could've been a volatile situation, it turned into a very positive one."

It was through that experience that "there emerged the natural respect and sense of colleagueship among them," he said. "The result worked beautifully and reminded me of my days as a camp counselor."

The Drew Barrymore Show airs weekdays on CBS.

Some Saturday Night Live sketches bomb and others become Hall of Famers. But according to Amy Poehler, only one was so bad that it literally put its host to sleep.

While reuniting with fellow SNL alum Kate McKinnon, Poehler delved into the subject of sketches that just don't work — and without naming names, had a pretty embarrassing story to pull from.

"Did you ever go on the server and watch sketches that bombed?" she asked McKinnon on Tuesday's episode of her Good Hang podcast. "Do you kind of like it when sketches bomb a little bit? We used to go and watch our sketches from dress [rehearsal] that bombed and just watch it together, process it together. And it was just, like, such a nice feeling. Basically, just a reminder that everybody bombs, basically."

McKinnon, already laughing at the memory of this, nodded. "There were a few hits that we would watch over and over again," she admitted. "There was one rehearsal where a person — I won't say who — simply stopped doing the sketch and sat down on the stage. That was a fun watch."

This sparked a memory for Poehler, who could relate. "We had a host, I won't say who, who just halfway through just kinda fell asleep a little bit," she said with a smile. "This was during dress, and it was like, 'Okay, I guess his character's asleep now.'"

Laughing, McKinnon said, "Don't blame him! It's late and it's a tough gig."

Poehler couldn't agree more. Earlier this month, the SNL alum celebrated a full-circle moment, hosting the show for the first time in over a decade on the very evening that marked SNL's 50th anniversary. Fun as it was, Poehler told McKinnon that part of her still wanted to be participating as a cast member.

"I kept being like, 'What are you guys doing over there?' Like, I kept wanting to be over there," she recalled.

Both Poehler and McKinnon had standout runs on SNL, with Poehler starring on the show from 2001 to 2008, while McKinnon joined in 2012 and stuck around until 2022. Though their tenures as cast members did not overlap, they have shared the stage in studio 8H several times. Poehler hosted the show in 2015 and the alums both participated in the show's 50th anniversary special. Their conversation saw Poehler praise McKinnon for her run on the show, pointing out that she quickly found her place in the fabric of SNL.

Get your daily dose of entertainment news, celebrity updates, and what to watch with our EW Dispatch newsletter.

"There are people on that show that I felt were naturals. Now whether or not they felt natural is their own personal story," Poehler said. "But you, Maya Rudolph, Dana Carvey, Will Ferrell — people who just kind of came onto the show, fit right in and became, like, instant captains. I always felt that from you, just this calm confidence when you were performing. And it's interesting to know that inside you were not feeling that way."

Indeed, McKinnon confirmed that "there were plenty of desperate failures that haunt me even now," but added that her time on SNL remains a dream come true.

"I feel like I had one dream. It was SNL," McKinnon shared. "Did it. Done. Loved it. Awesome."

AI video of a gorilla -

A TikTok video showing a gorilla running up to its glass enclosure has gone viral

In the clip, the gorilla suddenly lifts its arm and smashes the glass, leaving a noticeable crack

Since posting, the video has amassed over 3 million views and thousands of comments, many pointing out that the clip is not real

A viral clip of a gorilla slamming into the glass at the San Diego Zoo stunned social media. Now, another video claiming to show the same thing happening is circulating online, but it turns out this one is actually AI-generated.

Posted on the TikTok account @funhub.ai, the video shows a gorilla running up to the glass enclosure and staring at the people on the other side. In the background, a woman says, "Look at him staring."

As the scene unfolds, the gorilla suddenly lifts its arm and smacks the glass, causing a crack. Onlookers scream and scatter in panic. "Back up, run!" one woman shouts. "Everyone run!" another man yells. The camera pans out to the hallway as visitors flee, while the gorilla's roar echoes loudly in the background.

"An angry gorilla in a zoo breaks the glass. People panic," the video is captioned.

Since being posted, the video has racked up over 3.7 million views and thousands of comments, many of them debunking the clip and pointing out why it isn't real.

"There was an incident at the San Diego recently but this is not it. It was a crack only on the inside first layer ….this is AI generated and it [doesn't] have to have the watermark," one user wrote.

"I was thinking you could tell it's AI cause when the glass broke it looked really thin. You gotta look for the little things," another commented.

Another person added, "It's AI. Why would they [install] a glass vertical like that? My local zoo installed a glass about 85 degrees slant, bottom towards the building to reflect the energy away."

The video was made in Sora, an AI video generator. Accounts, like @funhub.ai, share a variety of AI videos, sometimes coinciding the posts with other viral moments happening, creating the confusion.

While the AI video may fool some viewers, the scenario isn't entirely unrealistic. A similar incident, reported by ABC 10 News San Diego and KUSI, occurred on Saturday, Oct. 11, when a gorilla at the San Diego Zoo crashed into the glass wall of his enclosure, leaving a massive crack.

In footage of the moment, captured by Emily Houglin and shared with PEOPLE, the gorilla charged at the glass wall of his habitat, which he shares with another gorilla. He struck the glass with a heavy thud, causing the group near the wall to gasp and yelp in fear. After the shrieks subsided, the clip shows the substantial crack Denny left behind.

According to a statement from the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance, obtained by PEOPLE, "On Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025, Denny, a 10-year-old western lowland gorilla, broke one layer of a three-layered tempered glass panel at the San Diego Zoo's gorilla forest habitat."

Zoo officials confirmed that no one was injured during the incident, telling KUSI, "Both gorillas will be cared for behind the scenes until the panel has been replaced."

Prince Harry's meetings are known to have a few surprise guests, thanks to Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

During an Oct. 29 appearance on the Hasan Minhaj Doesn't Know podcast, the Duke of Sussex, 41, revealed that his children "just barge in" when he's on calls.

Harry and Meghan Markle are parents to son Prince Archie, 6, and daughter Princess Lilibet, 4, and the couple works out of a shared office at home in Montecito, California.

The Duke of Sussex made the relatable revelation when host Hasan Minhaj asked, "What do your kids think you do?"

"They know that we help other people, but they don't know the background," Harry said, referencing his charitable efforts.

After a bit of banter, Minhaj pressed, "When you're like, 'Daddy's on a call,' what do they think?"

"All they're interested in is saying hi to the people on the call. Or they're fascinated to see other people. They love seeing familiar faces. They will run in and kind of, occasionally, there's the moment with the hand on the forehead, saying, 'Not now,' " Harry joked about Archie and Lili.

"But then they just jump on the lap and say, 'Hi guys!' " he said.

Meghan, 44, similarly spoke about how Lilibet likes to crash her video calls in an April episode of her podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder.

The show spotlighted the personal stories of female entrepreneurs, and Meghan pulled back the curtain on the launch of her As ever brand.

During an episode with her friend Bumble founder Whitney Wolfe Herd, the Duchess of Sussex said that working at home meant her children were there.

"Lili still naps, she gets picked up early and she naps, she only has a half day in preschool," Meghan said then. "If she wakes up and she wants to find me, she knows where to find me, even if my door is closed to the office. She'll be sitting there on my lap during one of these meetings with a grid of all the executives… I wouldn't have it any other way."

Princess Lilibet isn't the only one curious about video calls, as Finding Freedom author Omid Scobie previously revealed that Prince Archie also liked to hop on!

"I loved discovering their daily Zoom calls with the various initiatives and people that they work with. And how Archie is no stranger to climbing in front of the web camera and making little impromptu cameos," Scobie said on an episode of his podcast, The Heir Pod, in 2020.
