The NFL is determined to prove Minnesota Vikings kicker Will Reichard did not hit a camera wire on his missed field goal in Week 5. The league reviewed video of the kick from multiple angles, and determined "the ball in no way made any contact with the cable," an NFL spokesperson told ESPN.

The kick, and the controversy surrounding it, seemed to die out after a few weeks, but came back into the public's consciousness after Amazon Prime announcer Al Michaels brought it up during the "Thursday Night Football" game between the Vikings and Los Angeles Chargers in Week 8.

As Reichard lined up for a kick, Michaels mentioned the kicker's Week 5 miss, saying, "His only miss this year was when he hit a wire — with the camera — in London!"

NFL rules analyst Walt Anderson heard that comment and reportedly called Amazon Prime rules analyst Terry McAulay to say the NFL did not believe Reichard's miss was the result of a ball hitting a camera wire.

Eventually, Michaels was forced to backtrack on his statement during the broadcast, according to ESPN.

"The league wants to take my lunch away because I said before that Reichard's only miss came when he hit a wire in London." Michaels said. "The league says, 'No, no, it was an optical illusion.' [That's] not what Reichard thinks."

Reichard's miss in Week 5 did not ultimately affect the outcome of the game, which the Vikings won 21-17 over the Cleveland Browns.

Coming into Week 8, that was Reichard's only field-goal miss of the season. That prompted Reichard's agent — Jim Ivler — to contact the NFL to see whether the league would remove the attempt from Reichard's stats. Ivler didn't want his client's numbers to suffer due to a piece of equipment on the field.

Ivler claimed the person he contacted at the NFL initially said the attempt could be removed. Later, however, that same person reportedly told Ivler it was actually not possible to remove Reichard's attempt.

Reichard also missed a field-goal attempt in Week 8, giving him two misses on the season.

Determined to prove Reichard's kick did not hit the camera wire, the NFL issued a lengthy statement to ESPN claiming it was "not possible for the cables to interfere with the flight of the ball."

"There is no video evidence of the football making contact with the broadcast cable. The day after the game, we were in touch with our colleagues who handled production responsibilities for the NFL Network broadcast. Those engineers, who were on site in London, verified that because of the position of the camera behind the kicker and where the cables were mounted in the stadium, it was not possible for the cables to interfere with the flight of the ball. The slow-motion replay of the kick that went to air was from a low-end zone camera on the tight end of its lens, which compresses the plane of focus. That's why the football and one of the cables are visible in the same shot, but the ball in no way made any contact with the cable."

The play, however, clearly irked the NFL, which also reportedly showed it to team owners at a league meeting in October in an attempt to prove on-field equipment was not to blame for the miss. At that meeting, NFL executive vice president of football operations Troy Vincent and Anderson reportedly said Reichard's kick did not hit the camera wire because the ball did not have "a weird spin." The league reportedly showed footage of the kick in which the camera wires were highlighted before Reichard made contact with the ball.

While Vikings special teams coach Matt Daniels and Reichard still seem skeptical based on how the ball moved on Reichard's Week 5 miss, the kicker said he's ready to put the controversy behind him.

The NFL, on the other hand, wants to set the record straight, no matter how much time has passed since the kick.

A shoulder injury limiting quarterback Joe Flacco could force the Cincinnati Bengals to reinsert Jake Browning in the starting spot for Sunday's meeting with the Chicago Bears.

Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said the team considers Flacco day-to-day and offensive coordinator Dan Pitcher voiced optimism on Wednesday that Flacco could still be ready by Sunday.

Flacco suffered an AC joint sprain in his throwing shoulder in last week's loss to the Jets. It was his third start since being acquired from the Cleveland Browns.

He had eight touchdowns and no interceptions with Cincinnati. Still, the Bengals went 1-2 with Flacco as its QB1.

Browning had an 0-3 record as a starter this season and was benched with the offense lagging. Cincinnati averaged 12.3 points with Browning running the first team.

Wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase was revitalized with Flacco in the lineup, catching an NFL-record-tying 38 passes for 346 yards and two touchdowns in the past three games. Only former Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas (2018) has ever caught 38 passes in a three-game span.

The Bears (4-3) have allowed 185 points (26.4 per game) and 16 touchdown passes this season.

Straight Pride™ ended when Maddy Morphosis sashayed away from *RuPaul's Drag Race* season 14.

Though many fan-generated memes suggested otherwise, RuPaul's three-time Emmy-winning fashion mastermind Zaldy tells EW the *Drag Race *host's now-iconic patchwork dress from the April 8 "Catwalk" episode was not, in fact, a tribute to Maddy's affectionately derided, country-friend Glamazon Prime creation from episode 6.

"That's purely coincidence. There are two different things: Yes, it's the same kind of [aesthetic] muse, but that look for Ru, we always love a coat of many colors as a reference," Zaldy says on the new episode of EW's BINGE podcast above, adding that the final creation was actually an intricately crafted tapestry of several past looks RuPaul has worn over the years.

RuPaul's Drag Race

RuPaul's season 14 patch dress was not a tribute to Maddy Morphosis, says Zaldy. World of Wonder/VH1 (2)

"We created it because, every now and again, I save so many of the scraps of things we use for Ru outfits because I think they're just so beautiful," Zaldy continues, noting that there are pieces of Ru's favorite dress — the pink and orange leopard number remixed by Shea Couleé on last week's *All Stars 7* episode — spread throughout the design. "That one, if you look closely, does have these sacred pieces of the hand-painted leopard [dress] in that look. That look is very designed. It has gradating diamond patterns that get smaller toward the top. It's very involved. It's not [just] a patchwork thrown together."

Zaldy, who's worked with RuPaul for decades, also revealed that Shea's *All Stars 7* recreation shook him the hardest, with her hand-crafted "gradation of the scale of the spots" giving him "goosebumps" as he watched her re-design RuPaul's favorite look of all time.

As for the rest of the all-winners cast, who were also tasked with re-interpreting famous RuPaul looks, Zaldy commended them for not simply remixing the clothes, but tailoring them to fit their personal aesthetics.

"If I'm going for who was the most glamorous vision, it was definitely Jaida [Essence Hall]," he observes. "When she came out with that little, tiny mini fur and tied it back to a Diana Ross hairstyle, it was just an incredible, visually stunning look. So was Trinity [The Tuck's], this outrageous head-to-toe look. Everybody really had a moment. I was really impressed with their thought process and their interpretation. Everybody did something I was really touched by."

Though he steers the ship when it comes to RuPaul's closet, he clarifies with a laugh that he isn't the one who put RuPaul in flip-flops and a tracksuit for the Fairytale Justice challenge several episodes ago.

"Ru likes to play, too," he says. "Ru loves fashion, and Ru plays. She loves it. That's 100 percent Ru.... I don't put anybody in flip-flops!"

Raja is officially a season 3-peat contender on *RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 7* — which, as the drag superstar exclusively tells EW, could mark her final appearance ever on the Main Stage.

"There were several moments I wanted to repeat, just as a reminder of what happened 11 years ago," Raja tells *EW's BINGE* podcast (listen below) of hitting the latest, knitting-themed *AS7* runway clad in a gilded recreation of her Futurama Glamorama (otherwise known as "She3PO") look that first rocked the fandom back in 2011. "This is an elevated version of it, which is how I think life should be lived: You can take concepts from your past and do better versions of it, or do something a little more elevated.... I did want to make some revisits, just as a reminder. I slayed it once before, and I'm going to slay it again."

Raja adds that she and her drag daughter worked on the revamped version by knitting together gold ropes and threads with several large needles — a method that reminds Raja of passing time on New York City subways by knitting, years before she became the season 3 winner. The popular music group Deee-Lite (particularly its leader, Lady Miss Kier) also provided inspiration for the garment, which collides two of Raja's favorite elements as a Gemini: "The past and the future," she says.

RuPaul's Drag Race

Raja recreates her Futurama Glamorama look from season 3 on 'RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 7'. World of Wonder (2)

The hard work paid off: Raja won her second overall challenge on the latest episode of* All Stars 7*, after triumphing in a Scrooge-inspired role in the holiday-themed *Mean Girls* satire/murder mystery acting challenge titled *Santa's School for Girls*. She later beat The Vivienne in a two-woman lip-sync, earning her second Legendary Legend Star of the season.

When asked if she's had recent conversations with fellow *Drag Race* alums Violet Chachki and Gottmik — who took over for her as the hosts of the recap show* Fashion Photo RuView* and subsequently "booted" some of her looks at the start of the season — Raja said that, while she has nothing but love for both queens, she's enjoying being "booked and blessed" in her career. Noting that as much as she's enjoying her reintroduction to the *Drag Race* fandom, this might the last fans see of her on the Emmy-winning show.

"This is the last time I'm ever going to be on *RuPaul's Drag Race *ever in my life, so, I'm just focused on the positive and, no, I haven't had a conversation with [Violet and Gottmik] at all. I've just been surrounding myself with other things. There's so much! They're busy, they're booked and blessed as well, I've been watching them, I follow both of them on Instagram," Raja explains.

When pressed on whether her comments were a declaration or speculation, she clarifies: "Right now at this point I'm saying it's a declaration. It's such a hard thing to do and I live a life of leisure and I hate being inconvenienced," she jokes. "It's so hard to do *Drag Race*. It's stressful, but I can't see myself doing that ever again right now. I'm saying that today. You never know, I might get a call from Randy [Barbato] and Fenton [Bailey] of World and Wonder like, 'We're going to do another one!' You never know, I might change my mind, but today I'd say it's not a possibility."

*RuPaul's Drag Race *legends Monét X Change and Trinity The Tuck have gone from being mere twinners to sisters in the same family.

The relationship between the *All Stars 4 *champions (and current *All Stars 7* competitors) has strengthened over time, as Monét tells EW's BINGE podcast (below) that mutual experiences both on and off the Emmy-winning show have brought them closer together since the queens each took a crown on *AS4* back in 2019.

"*All Stars 4 *was the first time I ever met Trinity, and Trinity will tell you, Trinity really wanted to win, and when Trinity is in pageant competition mode, she can be a little savage, right?" Monét explains. "It's not like she tried to do something crazy, but there was definitely an air of savagery. After the show, working a little bit together, we got to know each other more, and I got to see Trinity for Trinity. After we both won, we got to work a lot together, and I've seen this really beautiful side of Trinity that I didn't necessarily experience on *All Stars 4 *because she was really trying to win that s---. Since then, I've hung out with Trinity a lot and we've done a lot of stuff together and I've really seen what a beautiful and nice person Trinity is. It's not something for the camera."

She points to Trinity's willingness to help other queens with their looks in the Werk Room — something the queen has done repeatedly since *All Stars 7 *premiered in May — as indicative of the heart that beats underneath the tightest tuck in the industry.

"Even on this *All Stars* season, everything Trinity was doing on and off camera just showed what a genuinely sweet, amazing person Trinity is, and I really have grown to love Trinity immensely since *All Stars 4*," continues the season 10 alum. "She's a very good person, she's very kind, and she's very sweet, and she'll go out of her way, sometimes to her detriment, to help other people."

RuPaul's Drag Race

Trinity The Tuck and Monét X Change bond on 'RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 7.'. World of Wonder/Paramount+

Monét's words come after the pair had a moving moment on the *Untucked* couch together, expressing love and admiration for each other through tears — all while season 5 winner Jinkx Monsoon hilariously underscored the end of their moment with an expertly timed strum of her ukulele.

She also shared another moment (non-musical, however) with Jinkx on episode 9 of *AS7*, which saw the top-two challenge-winning queens perform in the first-ever spoken word lip-sync-for-your-legacy on the Main Stage. Together, they performed Dixie Carter's iconic "The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia" monologue from the hit sitcom *Designing Women*, which was widely applauded by viewers, though some took issue with the fact that the queens didn't duke it out over a dance beat.

"I think that it's ridiculous," Monét — who has previously performed the number in clubs prior to the latest *AS7* episode — says when asked about the criticism. "Say hallelujah to the drag legends, people like Lypsinka, who started doing that s---, and Candis Cayne, who really put lip-syncing to spoken word on the map. If people think that it's a boomer thing, then drag is not for you, bitch, go watch something else, go watch hockey, go watch Allen Iverson dribble the ball. I don't know if he plays basketball anymore, but, sure, touchdown. Like, just don't participate in drag if you can't appreciate all kinds of it. It's not for you, Mary."

Boeing (BA) posted a third quarter revenue beat and an improving cash-flow burn rate before the bell on Wednesday, as CEO Kelly Ortberg's turnaround of the troubled aviation giant rolled on.

The planemaker reported Q3 revenue of $23.27 billion compared with the $22.29 billion expected, per Bloomberg consensus — higher than last quarter's $21.68 billion and a 30% jump compared with a year ago.

It posted an adjusted loss per share (core loss per share) of $7.47 versus the $4.92 estimated, but that was attributed to a one-time charge related to the program for Boeing's latest wide-body jet, the 777X.

Boeing's adjusted free cash flow came in at negative $238 million, compared to the negative $884.1 million estimated, a major improvement for the company. A year ago, Boeing reported a staggering net loss of $6.17 billion and negative free cash flow of $1.34 billion.

Operating cash flow also improved, coming in at $1.12 billion in Q3 vs. estimates of negative $197 million.

Boeing stock wavered in premarket trading and opened down around 2% in early trade.

"With a sustained focus on safety and quality, we achieved important milestones in our recovery as we generated positive free cash flow in the quarter," Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg said in a statement.

Boeing's 777X remains behind schedule and has not yet been certified by regulators, leading to the company taking a $4.9 billion charge due to the delay. That contributed to its core loss per share this quarter, it said.

"It's obviously a disappointment, but we just need more time to complete the certification," Ortberg said during the earnings call.

Earlier this month, Boeing announced Q3 commercial deliveries hit 160 jets versus the 150 delivered last quarter and 116 delivered in the same quarter a year ago. Of Q3 deliveries, 121 were 737 Max jets (compared to 92 delivered a year ago), 24 were 787 jets (14 last year), nine were 777s (four last year), and six were 767s (six last year).

As for cranking up sales of its bestselling 737 Max, the FAA recently approved Boeing to raise its 737 Max production rate from 38 to 42 aircraft per month after the plane maker met certain milestones for manufacturing and safety.

Boeing noted in its Q3 release that 737 Max production has stabilized at 38 planes per month but has not yet reached the 42 planes per month rate. Ortberg's longer-term goal for 737 Max production is 47 planes per month.

Ortberg said on the call that he sees certification of the 737 Max 7 and Max 9 derivatives occuring sometime in 2026.

One hiccup in Boeing's future performance could be its defense business. Boeing defense workers at its plant in St. Louis rejected the company's latest contract proposal on Sunday, sending the strike into its 13th week.

International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) District 837 said Boeing failed to meet the demands of the nearly 3,200 union members on strike.

As for future commercial deliveries, Boeing snagged a number of big deals in Q3 with Norwegian Group, Turkish Airlines, WestJet, and Korean Air, among others.

Boeing's main rival, Airbus (AIR.PA), surpassed Boeing in global deliveries in 2019, right before the pandemic, and has kept its crown ever since. Though the company did reaffirm its forecast for the year, engine supply issues are headwinds for the France-based company.

StockStory aims to help individual investors beat the market.

Although some of these employees may appear productive, looking busy is entirely different from actually doing their job. In fact, they might be busy building up a side hustle to earn extra income instead of focusing on their day job.

This guide aims to shed light on your coworkers who may not be doing their share of work.

Make Money: 8 things to do if you're barely scraping by financially

1. They're always in a meeting, but nothing ever gets done

A calendar packed with meetings looks busy. After all, if their entire week is blocked into meetings, it seems like they've got a lot going on. And many may point out how they are always 'slammed' with meetings.

The catch is that you can't remember a single deliverable they completed last year. Pointless meetings might fill a calendar. But endlessly meeting about project ideas sometimes means the project never actually gets done.

2. They talk big in meetings—then ghost the follow-through

If you're in a meeting with a group, sometimes the least productive employees speak the most. Although they are constantly spinning out big ideas, they rarely, if ever, follow through.

Not only do the big talkers skip the actual task, but they also dump the actual work on someone else's plate.

3. They delegate everything (even stuff that's supposed to be theirs)

Everyone on a team has a job to do. But for those who don't plan on doing any work, delegation is their superpower. Although delegating some tasks can be a sign of a good leader, constantly offloading all tasks to other team members is a red flag.

These employees tend to reframe delegation as 'empowering others. But this usually means overloading junior employees with more work.

4. Their job description is a mystery—even to them

When someone cannot describe their job without a barrage of buzzwords, it could mean they don't know their job. If they cannot name specific tasks or projects with even loosely defined deliverables, they may not be doing any work.

After all, it's sometimes tricky to nail down the tasks of a job unless you are actually doing them. In some cases, it's not their fault. They might have taken a job with good intentions to work hard. But if the organization doesn't assign them enough tasks to fill a day, some aren't going to point that detail out to their supervisor for fear of losing their income.

5. They CC everyone but do nothing themselves

Constantly CC'ing everyone about every project gives the appearance of being looped in. Although they might send seemingly incessant emails to seem looped in, you might notice they don't actually contribute to the deliverables discussed in the emails.

The best way to spot an employee who doesn't work is to look for deliverables. If you don't see any completed tasks easily pointed out, it's possible they aren't doing the work.

6. Their excuses become routine

When someone doesn't do their job, it's common for the incomplete tasks to pile up. The employee will often make one excuse after another. Even if their excuses seem valid, it can stretch on into a routine of simply not doing their work.

7. They play the blame game

If something doesn't get done on time or at all, they are often quick to point out someone else's mistake. For example, they might claim they couldn't have completed the assigned task because so-and-so wasn't available to answer their last-minute questions.

A lazy coworker will rarely take full responsibility for their mistake.

8. They do only the bare minimum

When push comes to shove, they might accomplish a task. However, the final result is often only the bare minimum to satisfy the requirements.

For example, they might make a presentation that covers just a few key points of the project.

9. They aren't readily available

If you work in an office, it's often easy to spot who's working hard and who's hardly working. Employees constantly running late, taking long breaks, or missing entire days are likely not working too hard.

Judging who is doing what in a remote work setting is harder. But it takes days for someone to get back to you about every question; likely, they aren't working too hard.

Bottom line

It can be frustrating to watch your coworkers slack off, especially if it means more work gets added to your plate. While challenging, it might be time to consider other employment options.
