A 64-year-old Grandmother in Minnestoa has been sentenced to 15 months in prison after her 7-year-old granddaughter starved to death on Christmas Day. Sharon Rosebear, 63, was found to have intentionally starved the child of food and health care throughout 2022. Jewel was described as 'skeletal' when she died on Christmas Day that year. Rosebear was sentenced to 15 months in prison after evidence found Jewel had died due to starvation and a Group A Streptococcal infection (GAS) believed to be due to a severe lice infestation.
