A nine-month-old baby has undergone surgery after a stranger poured a scalding hot drink on him. The baby was with his family enjoying a picnic at Hanlon Park in Coorparoo in Brisbane's south when an unknown man approached the group at about midday on Tuesday. The stranger poured a hot liquid believed to be coffee onto the baby before fleeing the scene. The infant was rushed to the Queensland Children's Hospital with burns to his chest and face.
