Catholic cleric conman used $650K in donations for plastic surgery and trips to the Hamptons
A Franciscan friar has been accused of being a conman after he allegedly used $650,000 on plastic surgery and trips to the Hamptons while claiming he was helping injured people in Lebanon. Pawel 'Paul' Bielecki, 48, of New York City, was charged with wire and mail fraud by the US Attorney's Office in the Southern District of New York for allegedly 'defrauding victims by falsely representing that he was a medical doctor who runs medical clinics in Beirut, Lebanon,' the complaint read.
