Teen Mom Maci Bookout shares quote about 'people cutting you open' as rumors swirl of marriage issues with Taylor
TEEN Mom Maci Bookout has shared a cryptic quote amid rumored marriage issues with their husband, Taylor McKinney.
Maci, 32, reposted an inspiring message about how to cope with emotional turmoil.
In the post, the text reveals how an individual can show they are still tough after being provoked.
"There will be people in this life who will cut you open just to see what you're made of…" the quote stated.
"Show them it is love."
THERAPY SESSION
Maci's quote came after viewers speculated about her marriage woes with her husband,Taylor, 32.
On Wednesday, theTeen Mom: Family Reunionpremiere featured adramatic sceneof theMTVmom breaking down in tears.
When the husband/wife duo attended therapy, Maci hinted that they were going through troubles during their session.
She claimed Taylor remarked on her parenting skills around their seven-year-old daughter, Jade.
"He said he would not want his daughter to become the mother that I am," Maci cried and choked back tears.
The therapist insisted that the two talk about their issues.
The two walked down the aisle in October 2016 and share their two children: Jade and Maverick, six.
The 16 & Pregnant alum is also a mom to her 15-year-old son, Bentley, with her former baby daddy,Ryan Edwards, 36.
LEGAL PROBLEMS
Meanwhile, Maci's ex has been in andout of prisonfor the last year due todrugs, harassment, and other charges.
Ryan's estranged wife,Mackenzie, 28, initiallyfiled for divorcein February 2023 after the twomarriedin 2017.
Althoughthe divorce was dismissed, TheU.S. Sunexclusively revealed Ryan filed hisdivorcecase againsthis former partnerin early March.
According to a Tennesseecourtdocket viewed by The U.S. Sun, Ryan filed for divorce with minor child on March 6th.
He also filed a permanent proposedparentingplan for their kids Jagger, five, and Stella, four.
'BEEN A LOT'
In July 2023, Maci confessed to TheDaily Mailabout how herrelationship with Taylor struggledwhile co-parenting with Ryan.
"I feel pressure because I'm trying to support [my son] Bentley and do the right thing by him, and I'm learning how to even communicate and have a relationship with Ryan at all," the TV personality shared.
"But then, [Taylor] is my husband, and he has raised Bentley with me, so there's just a lot of temperature checking that goes on."
She tried not to "forget to check my own temperature and figure out what my boundaries are, and what I'm OK with and what I'm comfortable with. It's been a lot."
"You're going to see us probably at a better point in a co-parenting relationship than we had been in a long time," Taylor mentioned during the interview.
