Roseanne Barr has listed her California vacation home in West Hills, near Calabasas, for $1.37 million, Gimme Shelter can reveal.
The listing comes after Barr blasted the Golden State in a Nov. 2 post on X, a day before a blue wave swept the US midterms.
“For my birthday tomorrow – please get out and vote for @KenPaxtonTX ! I already fled California because democrats are the worst — I and [sic] not looking to flee another state ruined by them. You can not vote your way out of DSA.”
Democrat James Talarico trumped Paxton in the hotly contested Senate race.
The “Roseanne” actress and comedian, 74, moved to Texas last year. She now lives outside Austin, on a 30-acre property in Texas Hill Country with one of her kids, Jake Pentland, his wife and their two daughters. It’s where she can be found riding tractors, using chain saws to cut trees, gardening and recording podcasts.
It’s also where she just completed her first major scripted TV show, a family comedy that takes shots at the right and the left, eight years after Disney/ABC canceled her sitcom revival over racist tweets — and where she is poised to make a comeback, Page Six Hollywood reported in October.
The show features stars including Randy Quaid, Drea de Matteo, Omar Gooding and Doug Jones, as well as guest appearances from Jon Lovitz, Tony Hinchcliffe and Kim Congdon.
The West Hills home, at 7037 Middlesbury Ridge Circle, is a three-bedroom, two-bath ranch house. Built in 1964, it sits on under a third of an acre and features treetop and canyon views. She purchased it for $1.3 million in 2021, according to records.
“During the pandemic, all I wanted was fresh air and peace and quiet, and the convenience of single-level living was extremely appealing,” Barr told Gimme Shelter of the property.
“It was my weekend getaway, a place to escape all the craziness. I just loved the canyon views, having a pool big enough for all my grandkids to splash around in, and being able to walk somewhere without having to climb a damn mountain,” she added.
The dwelling opens to a great room with a large dining and kitchen area, a fireplace and access to the backyard. The main bedroom suite also opens to the outdoors. The landscaped backyard features a covered patio for entertaining and a pool.
While Barr is selling her California home because she no longer uses it, she still owns several other properties in the Golden State, said listing broker Ben Malka, of the Beverly Hills Estates.
Last year, Barr also sold her 46-acre macadamia nut farm on the Big Island of Hawaii for $2.6 million — $650,000 over its asking price following a fierce bidding war. She found a buyer within days.
She bought that property for $1.78 million in 2007.
