Queen Letizia and Her Daughters Bring Out Their Rarely-Seen Jeans for a Special Trip

The Spanish royals made their trip to Llanes a family affair. King Felipe VI, Queen Letizia, and their two daughters—Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía—paid a visit to the historic coastal municipality and fishing town in the Principality of Asturias, Spain, on Saturday to present the town with the prestigious 2026 Exemplary Town of Asturias Award.

The honor was given to the Cofradía de Pescadores Santa Ana (Santa Ana Fishermen’s Guild), a medieval-era guild recognized for its sustainability, innovation, and dedication to traditional artisanal fishing.

While in town, the royals toured the town center, watched traditional Asturian dance performances, visited the fish market and chapel, and boarded a local fishing boat.

As it was a busy, outdoorsy day, Letizia and her daughters dressed the part, coordinating in coats, sweaters, pants, and low shoes. The queen went preppy in a short navy-blue trench coat, cozy beige sweater layered over a white button-up, dark blue jeans with slightly frayed hems, and caramel leather boots.

Leonor chose her own elevated fall look: navy V-neck sweater, dark blue jeans, muted green jacket, and tan suede boots with low block heels. She also accessorized with some gold jewelry and had her blonde hair styled in a single braid.

Sofía chose a chocolate suede jacket that she layered over an Ester-blue sweater for a welcome pairing, and wore with classic blue jeans and white sneakers. Her hair was styled in a wavy half-up-half-down ’do.

Both princesses wore rosy makeup and a subtle burgundy smoky eye, like their mother.

The king, meanwhile, went for a dapper, funky look composed of a gray blazer worn over a pink striped shirt and paired with brown pants and black shoes.
