Rodgers showed off his creativity ahead of Sunday's Vikings game against the Colts.

The Minnesota corner was warming up, not in slippers, but in shoes that looked like plastic jack-o'-lanterns filled with Halloween candy.

The Jets will once again be without dual-threat running back Breece Hall. He was questionable heading into the weekend, but Sunday morning reports said he was unlikely to play.

Hall has been officially ruled out and will miss his fourth game with a quad strain.

The Denver Broncos are likely to be without All-Pro cornerback Pat Surtain II, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport .

He's been out since suffering an ankle injury in Week 4 but made some progress in his return from injury this week, logging limited practices each day. Wednesday marked his first practice since the injury, and he was listed as "questionable" on the final injury report for the week.

The Broncos have already ruled out starting safety Talanoa Hufanga with an ankle injury.

Four years ago, the Detroit Lions traded tight end T.J. Hockenson to the Minnesota Vikings midseason. The Vikings wound up signing him to a then-record-setting extension in the summer of 2023.

Hockenson's eventual replacement in Detroit, Sam LaPorta, is now due for a lucrative extension.

He's in the final year of his rookie deal, and, despite his impressive play upon returning from a back injury that cut his 2025 campaign short , the Lions still haven't extended him.

LaPorta, an Iowa product like Hockenson, expressed his disappointment in that situation during the latest episode of Barstool's "Pardon My Take" podcast.

The 2023 second-round pick was asked about playing with the uncertainty of his NFL future looming.

"I think the combination of getting your heartstrings twisted as well as the violent sport that we play, it sucks," LaPorta said. "And it's disappointing that you go out there every week and you bear the risk of getting hurt. Like last year, whatever it was, Week 9, Week 10, I break my f***ing back for the team. And then I'm going out there this year, and I'm balling, and maybe they're just not showing the love.

"So it sucks. I'm going to continue to be a pro, and I dish a lot of that to my agent, and he handles that great. ... So I'm going to continue to go do my thing and ball out. And in three months, if I don't get to wear the Honolulu Blue and play for the Lions anymore, it's going to be all good. I'll go get paid somewhere else."

In the aftermath of a 34-27 defeat to the New Orleans Saints over the weekend, New York Giants running back Najee Harris demonstrated his frustration toward the team's running-back-by-committee approach.

Even though Harris got the starting nod over a "punished" Cam Skattebo , he received just four carries in the loss.

At times, the one-time Pro Bowler was lost for words when speaking with reporters afterward .

"It's hard to get into a rhythm with one or two plays," Harris said postgame, per The Athletic . "… If you're getting a play here and then get taken out for a series, there's nothing you could do. I've never been through none of this before."

Now, just two days later, the 28-year-old Harris is no longer in that situation — because he's been released .

That leaves a three-man rotation of Skattebo, Devin Singletary and Tyrone Tracy Jr. Expect Skattebo to get some actual touches this week, as OC Matt Nagy acknowledged it "was not our intention" to give Skattebo no carries last week.

The Baltimore Ravens announced Saturday that they've downgraded quarterback Lamar Jackson from "questionable" to "out" for Sunday's home game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

His high ankle sprain will sideline him for a third consecutive game.

Jackson isn't quite good to go for Week 7 after returning to practice in a limited capacity this week.

Jackson coming back to the practice field was a positive sign, but this week no one was ready to declare him 100% back for Sunday.

"He's been able to get some work in these past couple of days," head coach Jesse Minter said on Friday . "Between Lamar and our staff, it's going to be a decision based on him and how he feels and how effective it could be. He's had a good couple of days, but we'll see how it goes over the next 48 hours."

On Friday's injury report, Jackson was listed as "questionable." Minter said Jackson could be a game-time decision, except it turns out the Ravens made the call earlier.

Tyler Huntley will get another start with Jackson out.

The New York Giants' benching of running back Cam Skattebo may only last one week. Skattebo is expected to hop back into this workhorse role in Week 7, according to NFL Network.

Skattebo did play in Week 6, but his snaps were limited and he did not touch the ball a single time in the contest.

With Skattebo out of the picture, the Giants relied on Devin Singletary, Najee Harris and Tyrone Tracy to carry the load.

Harris, however, was released a few days after the game, opening the door for Skattebo to move back into his usual role.

The New York Giants like what they've seen from quarterback J.J. McCarthy over the past month. Despite trading for the former first-round draft pick less than a month ago, the Giants will start McCarthy against the Houston Texans in Week 7, head coach John Harbaugh confirmed on Tuesday afternoon.

The move comes days after McCarthy replaced Jameis Winston in the team's 34-27 loss to the New Orleans Saints in Week 6.

McCarthy entered the contest with the Giants trailing 34-10 in the fourth quarter. He promptly threw an interception on his first drive.

After that, however, McCarthy was solid, nearly leading the Giants all the way back. On the team's next drive, McCarthy drove the team down the field, allowing Tyrone Tracy Jr. to score on a rushing touchdown. On the drive after that, McCarthy found tight end Isaiah Likely for a touchdown pass.

McCarthy then led the team to a field goal, cutting the Giants' deficit to seven points with just over two minutes to go. While the team got the ball back with one more chance to tie the game, McCarthy couldn't finish a potential game-tying drive.

He went 11-of-21 passing for 243 yards in the loss, with one touchdown and one interception.

The Los Angeles Rams feel good about Puka Nacua's availability for Week 7.

Nacua popped up on the injury report Thursday with a calf issue, raising concern for his Week 7 status.

The wideout reportedly felt better Saturday, and the team feels he should be able to play as long as he doesn't experience any setbacks ahead of Sunday's game.

The NFL and the NFLPA are working together to solve the Jalen Hurts situation.

Both sides put out a joint statement Sunday saying they were "reviewing the matter."

The NFLPA expressed concern about the situation after the NFL claimed it had reviewed how the Eagles handled Hurts' injury and found no issue with the team's approach. The NFLPA said it was unaware any review took place and asked for an investigation into the situation.

A day later, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said he welcomed that investigation.
